Activity authorisation - in accordance with the State Labour Inspectorate Law of 19 June 2008, the State Labour Inspectorate is a direct administration institution under the supervision of the Minister for Welfare, which implements State supervision and control in the field of employment legal relations and labour protection.
The mission of the Labour Inspectorate is to promote the establishment and maintenance of a safe, healthy and legal working environment by providing information and professional advice and effective supervision.
State Labour Inspectorate Vision – the State Labour Inspectorate is a modern, customer-oriented institution with professional, motivated and loyal employees. . The information and inspection work of the institution shall focus primarily on prevention of accidents at work and unregistered employment, while ensuring effective and operational response and action also in prevention and reduction of other non-conformities of employment relations and work environment.
The functions of the State Labour Inspectorate are:
- to supervise and control compliance with the requirements of the laws and regulations regarding employment legal relations and labour protection;
- control the reciprocal performance of the obligations laid down in employment contracts and collective agreements between employers and employees;
- advise employers and employees on employment legal relationships and labour protection; promote public understanding of the importance of compliance with labour law and labour safety norms.
