Undeclared work platform.
for the fight against undeclared employment, a pan-European problem, to be comprehensive and effective, by Decision No. of the European Parliament and of the Council of 9 March 2016 the European Platform for reducing unregistered Employment (Platform) was established in 2016/344. The objectives of the Platform shall be to assist EU Member States in combating unregistered employment, to stimulate and support changes at national level, as well as to promote improvement of employment conditions and employment in accordance with the requirements of legislation m.. The platform is designed as an EU-level forum where competent authorities from EU Member States as well as social partners can exchange information and good practices, learn from each other, learn together, develop and improve knowledge, and engage in closer cross-border cooperation. Latvia is represented on the platform by the State Labour Inspectorate.
