According to Paragraph 58 of the Cabinet of Ministers Regulation No. 950 of August 25, 2009 (which came into force on January 1, 2010) "Procedure for Investigation and Recording of Work Accidents," the employer must ensure that in the case of a work accident resulting in severe or potentially severe health impairments or death of the injured person, the police and the inspectorate are immediately notified by phone, in writing, or electronically. The notification must include the name, surname, personal identification number, residence, and position or profession of the injured person, the name of the employer whose employee was involved in the accident, the address where the accident occurred, the time of the accident, a brief description of the incident, as well as the contact person and phone number.

For all work accidents that occurred after January 1, 2014, the new accident report form must be completed (Annex 1, which came into force on January 1, 2014).
After registration of the accident report, the employer must notify the State Labour Inspectorate regarding losses in relation to the accident at work (see the example below).
